Strength & Grace Pilates

We offer the following Pilates class in blocks or on a monthly membership.​

Strength & Grace - Physio led Pilates with weights

 

Wednesday 5:30pm - 6:30pm (starting 10th September)

 

This class blends functional strength training with core control, giving you the option to add light weights for extra challenge.

 

This class is:

 

  • Suitable for all ages

  • Beginner-friendly

  • Led by a qualified physiotherapist

  • Similar to our usual Pilates classes, but with more upright, weight-bearing, and resisted exercises—plus targeted core work—to help you:

  • Build muscle strength to combat age-related loss

  • Boost bone density to protect against osteoporosis

  • Enhance core and pelvic floor resilience for daily life

  • Improve posture and balance to feel more grounded

 

A groundbreaking 12-week University of Exeter study (Svensen et al., 2025) found that low-impact resistance training—using bands, ankle weights, and dumbbells—significantly improved strength, balance, and flexibility in women aged 40–60, without increasing body mass.
